A Gainesville, GA native raised in Gwinnett, GA, Desi-Ray “ Desi” Morris first began performing as a stepper in 6th grade. In high school, after conquering her shyness as a dancer, she won 3 of the 4 talent shows; then realizing her true passion. In 2013, Morris graduated with Honors with a Bachelor’s in Management and Marketing at The Fort Valley State University. While there she earned the title as Step Master of her sorority and captain for both majorette and basketball dance teams for 2 consecutive years. Morris specializes in freestyle tricks, Power Hip-Hop, ATL-crank, Fitness Training, Greek Step, Stilettos, Burlesque, and Jazz Funk. She also builds her own props, draws, sculpts, sews, and designs clothes. Desi-Ray has appeared in 17 Television/Film features, 7 music videos, 6 tours, and 7 award shows. Some of her credits include: Step Up, Star, New Edition Movie, Hidden Figures, Step Sisters, BET Awards, The Soul Train Music Awards, Alvin and The Chipmunks 4, Airheads Commercial, American Music Awards, Samsung LG commercial, along with a host of other performances. She has also worked with notable artists and actors such as Erykah Badu, Taraji P. Henson, Neyo, Teyana Taylor, Migos, Eva Longoria, Naturi Naughton, Lil Wayne, Ciara, New Edition, Silk, Johnny Gill and many more. Her motto is to defeat the defeated before the defeated defeats you.
