Aaliyah Rapping has been characterized as the little girl who dazzles the crowd with her amazing facial expressions that are often seen when she is dancing. She is completely devoted to dance and tirelessly trains to be the best dancer and actress she can be at such a young age. Aaliyah is a very determined young lady and always keeps a smile on her face. Aaliyah was born in Washington, D.C. and moved to Atlanta, G.A. when she was four months old. She attends Inman Middle School and excels academically. She is in the Challenge Program at her school for students who are academically gifted and was the lead communications person for her elementary school’s morning announcements. Aaliyah maintains an “A” average while dancing 12-15 hours a week. Aaliyah began dancing when she was two years old when her parents would crank up the surround sound system on Saturday mornings while making breakfast. She was often found bobbing her head from side to side in the car or tapping her foot whenever good music played. Her parents new early on that she would be a dancer. Aaliyah began formally training when she was four years old at Lisa Dance Spot in Lithia Springs, G.A. She also took ballet at the East Lake YMCA in Atlanta, G.A. After a few years with both companies Aaliyah began taking classes at Dance 411 where she continues to train. She has been a member of the Dance 411 Company Team since its inception and has performed at a number of venues across Georgia, Tennessee, and even in Bridgetown, Barbados. Aaliyah treats every practice and performance like she is auditioning for a big roll. She is determined to excel in all she does. Aaliyah has performed for the BET Hip Hop Awards and with artists like Missy Elliott, Sharya J, and Atlanta’s own girls group, D-Squared. Aaliyah and her team performed for Kidz Bop, the White House and a number of festivals across the Atlanta Area.
